We had the yakuza beef (my favorite), black pepper and mint lamb chops (another of my favorites), goat cheese tarts, vegetable ravioli, and lightly fried tilapia with chorizo. The black peper and mint lamp chops were divine. The truffle added to the potatoes makes everything melt in your mouth. And I learned a new batter recipe from the chef - equal parts beer and flour. It was the lightest fried fish I think I've ever had.
All in all, I think you are a moron if you believe any of the reviews that say that this place is anything less than five stars.

Between is fantastic! My girlfriend and I went there on Friday and everything was delicious. I had the Yakuza Beef, which is definitely spicy, but absolutely delicious. We also had the goat cheese tarts, the beef baturas, and the veal BLT's. Oh my god! I'm not one for veal, due to ethical treatment issues, but as soon as I put them in my mouth, I was over that. They are divine!
We also had several cocktails, which were equally delicious. I like the Guavarita and at the behest of our waiter, I also had a couple Bloody Mary's, which were equally delicious.
I agree with other reviewers in that this area is still transitioning and it's kind of "out on it's own", so I'd go check it out before it either disappears due to slow business or gets too popular to get a good seat. Regardless, I'll be back soon to support them.
Arriving the next night for dinner was an equally amazing experience. We had tuna carpaccio, duck breast, a beef dish I can't remember right now. Everything was simply amazing and the decor was fantastic. Low light ambiance and chandeliers throughout. It's very romantic as well as delicious. If you're visiting Puerto Rico, you should definitely check this one out.

When asked what we wanted to drink, I asked if they had mojitos. I was informed they didn't. No big deal. What beers do you have on tap? We don't have any. Ok...so what do you have? Well, we have martini's. Ok, what would you suggest. Try the key lime.
So I did. It was actually really good. Then we ordered dinner. We both got specials - she ordered talapia cooked in a banana leaf and I ordered a seared steak over spinach and fingerling potatoes.
The steak was absolutely perfectly cooked. The tilapia was raw. So they brought her another, but it definitely took the whole meal experience down a few pegs.
Overall, I thought it was an "ok" dinner aside from everything else. Then we got the bill. $100 with tip. $100? Seriously? We had two martinis and dinner. The entrees we ordered were each $23 and $25 a piece, and for the ingredients and portions, it definitely wasn't worth that price.
So the bottom line is - go in knowing what to expect and you will enjoy this place. Otherwise, there are other options in the area with a wider selection of drink options and cheaper entree offerings.

My only grievance is that I just didn't feel cool enough to hang out in here very long. I wasn't wearing my black turtle neck and Karl Lagerfeld art school glasses. Overall, it's a great place to run in and get a coffee, but unless you fit the uber designer mold, have a MacBook Air and you're reading an issue of Dwell, I might try somewhere a little more relaxed (perhaps Kopi Cafe down the street).

We went here for breakfast on a Saturday morning and waited about 30 minutes for anyone to acknowledge us. Then we waited about 40 minutes for our cold food to be brought out, which was both undercooked and just thrown on a plate.
DO NOT EAT HERE! You are better off at Golden Angel down the street, and that is saying a lot.

Date

We ordered two skewers of pork and chicken, flautas, and some guacamole. The guacamole arrived first and was straight avocado. No lime, no salt, no tomato, no cilantro, nothing. Just avocado. We had them replace the first one, and the second arrived with what I can only describe as twenty jalapenos squeezed over it. It was friggin' hot, inedibly so.
We then received the skewers which were incredibly dry and under-seasoned. And to top it off, we received the flautas, which honestly looked like something out of the freezer section of the grocery store.
Our waitress was very pleasant and actually made a comment of "the food here is actually pretty bad" when we pointed out the guacamole issue.
If you are thinking of eating here, don't. Go to Chen's down the street. They have great Chinese food and really good drinks, or try Twist. They also have pretty good food.
Don't go here.
